RED BARN

The Red Barn is an essential element in the history of agriculture in Humboldt County. Built in 1941, it was donated by Adrian and Mabel Erickson in 1974. It was moved to the museum grounds from the Erickson farm east of Rutland in 1971. Side wings were added to increase the display area.

Displays in the Red Barn include a General Store, a Doctor and Dentist's Office, Woodworking Shop, Tinsmith Shop, Blacksmith Shop, Antique Gun Display, and a selection of farm tools and equipment.

The Red Barn is open June through September on
